You might think the Kanoe Cafe is over with the tag line. No it is just getting started. Another week and the excitement of the New President taking office is dying down. It is time to get to work.
Isaiah and I say the same thing every day it is time to go to work. In this business of food and the days of competition you have to live, sleep and be the part of a cafe owner. Motivation to come to work is very simple, to serve the people. When you see smiles and laughter you know you are doing the right thing.
Yesterday we had a great lunch. The cafe was not full but it was fun. At 11:30 two people came in and they were waiting for two more. Shortly after came two more, then two more and wow the place was almost full.
Isaiah was a little out of practice and he was running around back and forth trying to keep everyone glass full. It seemed everyone here was waiting for someone. Conversations became louder and louder. Laughter became louder. It was a good sound
music to this old cafe owner's ears.
Then the food orders started to come back and the service and preparation of the food and checking out ready to go customers became a fast pace. It was exciting.
The Kanoe Cafe is just a good place to be. Laugh allot eat good food and just be yourself for about an hour. Wait for a friend to share the moments at the Kanoe.
